This good mamma so wanted to have her baby at home, on time with no interventions. But, at two and an half weeks past her ‘due date’, she choose to go to the hospital with her midwife and her husband to induce labor. Slowly and gently, Pitocin was run through an IV line. Once we hit the magic number (8), regular contractions and gentle moaning began. Mom actively relaxed. Dad prayed. The midwife sat, breathe softly. The baby came out.

Planned home birth is a plan, and it can be a very good one. And like all plans, sometimes adjustments are needed.
As for this sweet baby’s birth, she was literally prayed into the world, bringing peace, love and mercy with her.
Just what her mamma needed.
